Natalie Chung, who started her career in structural engineering in 1997, just recently completed her final year at Queen's University in Kingston in May 2002. Last year, she worked as an intern at Halsall Associates Limited in Toronto for 16 months, where she gained experience in structural design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and timber structures for various building types.  If you have any questions or concerns related to any information presented on this site, feel free to contact her.

All technical information on this site is available in further detail in Mechanics of Materials, an excellent reference text for any individuals interested in structural design or analysis, written by Hibbeler.

This site was developed (on a sleepless night) for first-year engineering students at Queen's (in her APSC 100 group) in 2001. The author has attempted to minimize the use of technical terms.  Please accept her humblest apologies wherever passages are poorly written to the point of incoherence.  All-nighters often result in excessive deterioration of lucidity .
